Squirt's Travels & Fun with Chase.....

Mrs. P is having fun with her grandson, Chase. He is staying with us for 11 days while his mom and dad are on a trip/cruise in Alaska. Chase decided to send "Squirt" (his stuffed turtle) with his mom and dad. He gets to travel for "FREE". He has been a very busy turtle! Check the pictures to follow his adventures so far.

Chase, Mimi, and Papa have had some fun, too. Yesterday we went to lunch and the movies. We saw the "Night in the Museum #2". Then today we went to Barnes and Noble, one of Mrs. P's favorite places, and bought a journal and an Origami Kit. Chase got interested in Origami when our Cruise waiter made us an Origami animal every night at dinner. Check the pictures to see some of Chase's works of art!

Hope you all are having a great summer, too. Love you...Mrs. P

Summer Update.....

Hope everyone had a good 4th of July... Did you go see fireworks? We stayed home and watched them on TV. The program from Washington D.C. was beautiful with some music from Mrs. P's "Time".

Looks like the "Peck" squirrels are smarter than my bird feeder. Some how they have managed to balance on it without pushing down the bar that closes access to the seed. Well, the good news is that the access holes are very small and they can't get much seed. At least they won't eat all the seed in one day!

If you look in the photo, you will notice that there are woods behind our house. We have several deer that live back there. They come out and walk around our neighborhood in the evening. Mr. Peck and I actually had to stop to let them cross our street the other night. We have also seen them when we go for our walks. Maybe I can manage to take a picture of them.

Looking forward to the next 10 days. Chase, our grandson is coming to stay with us. Will keep you up to date on all our activities.

Miss you...Mrs. P

Summer Update

Hi again...

Just thought I'd give you a Mrs. P Summer Update... No surprise...I spent three days working in my yard. Our Bougainvillea did not survive the winter, so I planted some Lantanas. They are my favorite flowering plant. Also, did some shrub trimming, mowing etc. I LOVE being outside!

This weekend we had some of our best friends over for dinner. We have a "Dinner Club", and one couple has everyone over for dinner every other month. It's really fun. The Peck Dinner theme was "Spanish"..... (Did you know...Mrs. P is 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Spanish?) My house still smells of garlic, onions, and green peppers! Everyone had a wonderful time. After dinner we watched Michael Jackson music videos and had dessert.

Hope your summer is going well. This week I am going to tackle some house cleaning. My "LEAST" favorite thing to do.....

E-mail me and let me know what your are doing.... peckm1@duvalschools.org

Love you....Mrs. P
