Awesome Week in Rm 131
Things were back to normal for the Parrots this week. We started out by "Celebrating" our hard effort on the FCAT with "Lunch" provided by Mrs. G and Mrs. P. Then went out to a "Dancing" Recess!
In Reading we finished our novel and started a new one. We learned about the Orphan Trains of the late 1800's, the background for "Gratefully Yours". Today we met our main character, Hattie, and the couple who adopted her. There are many adventures ahead for us in this new novel. We also have a new Read-Aloud, "The Hundred Dress". This is the book our field trip play is based on.
In Writing we started on Response to Literature. We will write the first two together and then each student will write their own on "The Stranger" by Van Allsburg.
In Science we are studying Energy and planning our class Science Fair Project. Some students have decided to do a project of their own at home.
Have a great weekend..... Mrs. P is off to Tallahassee for a family wedding.... I love when the whole family gets together!

We're "DONE"!
We have finished the FCAT.... we are sooooo proud of the effort of every Parrot! We plan to celebrate next week with lunch provided by Mrs G. and Mrs. P. Here are some pictures of our last day of testing....
