Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

We had a good Thanksgiving Day with our oldest son Edward, his wife Kelly, grandson Chase and our mothers.  When we sat down to dinner, Chase suggested rather than "grace" we go around the table and say what we are thankful for in our lives.  Everyone of us said "FAMILY"!  Kelly managed to throw in something about the Gators!  She is the Gator in our family...but she's a great one!  Hopefully, everyone had a special day with their loved ones.

See you Monday!!!  Mrs. P

We're "stuffed" and dishes are cleaned....Let's take a picture!

It's Birthday "TIME"!!!!

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Kornblum!
4th Grade News...

We are stuffed!!!  What a wonderful feast we shared with each other.  I especially loved your responses in the Thankful Jar.  Mrs. Ryan, Mrs. Ross, and I are thankful for you students, too!  A very heartfelt thanks goes out to Mrs. Santiago for the delicious dinner.  I know you worked so hard to make such a special treat for us.  The turkey bookmarks were precious.  Thank you, Alex, for making one for ME!

Have a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving with your family.

Love ya...Mrs. Peck

Wow!  What a wonderful gathering of family and food! Thank you to all the parents who attended our Thanksgiving Feast.  It meant so much to Mr. G, Mrs. Whitelaw, and me to have all of you share your time with us on Monday.  You are an awesome group.  We are truly thankful for our parents and students....

Have a restful and blessed holiday...

4th Grade News...

This week we learned about our third reading strategy "Inference". We talked about how important this strategy is as we become more proficient readers. We learned to look for those "clues" that authors put in their story to help us infer about events and characters.

We also rotated through our literacy centers. We can have fun, work cooperatively, and learn at the same time.

We will not have a new story this week due to the "short" week. We will be working on reviewing our strategies, reading skills, and finishing our DRA's.

I'm looking forward to our thanksgiving feast on Tuesday!

Love ya...Mrs. Peck
We love to rotate through our Literacy Centers!

We have had another busy week. We missed you Mr. G, and we are glad you are feeling better! It's not the same without you!! Thank you Mrs. Wood for coming in and helping me those two days Mr. G was out.

Our Living Wax Museum was a HUGE success. I was sooo proud of all of you students. It was a long 2 1/2 hours, but you hung in there and made awesome presentations to all the classes that came to visit. I heard nothing but compliments on your presentations.

Wasn't it great to start our next novel??? As we move further into the novel, we will see how the Danish people were truly "Up-standers" and not just "By-standers when it came to the Holocaust. Are you asking yourself "What would I do?"

I am looking forward to tomorrow and our Thanksgiving Feast. I know we will enjoy the food but always remember the real important thing we are celebrating is a day to be thankful for all the blessings we have. I am thankful for my family, my co-teachers, and certainly YOU...my students.

Love ya...Mrs.P
