Jaime made a great Maria...

Mr. G read the part of Bruno.....
He sounds a little like Misha...
4th Grade News...

It was a busy Testing Week... I was busy testing my 5th graders...so I didn't see much of the 4th graders till Friday. It was great to get back to a normal routine on Friday. We started our Response to Literature writing Standard and read THREE chapters of "Humphrey". Every time Humphrey goes home with a new student... he helps their family with some problem they have. He's like Dr. "Phil" Humphrey. Wonder where he'll go next????

Friday was certainly a day of "Celebrating"... I made cookies to celebrate the END of 4th Grade FCAT, and at the end of the day, Mrs. Santiago brought two cakes. One was for Mrs. Ross...her birthday is in August and always gets forgotten. One was for Mrs. Ryan, just in case, "Justin" decides to come before March 24th. It also turned into a "Baby" Shower...... Thanks Mrs. Santiago...You are AWESOME!!!!

Love You... Mrs. P
Mario...Our STAR Student...

Starting our Response to Literature Standard...

Looking for a "good/just right" book...

Independent Reading.....

Then taking A/R Tests......

Is it a Birthday Party in Room 4?????

Or...Is it a Baby Shower??????

Yes, Mrs. Ryan...you'll be changing diapers soon.....

Thank you, Mrs. Santiago...you're an awesome Room Mother!

To steal a phrase from Mr. G...

Hi...I'm Penelope Pickle...just a little "purple" and "fuzzy" after the L-O-N-G day of testing!!! I'm spending the night at Mrs. Peck's house. I hear everyone really put out their BEST effort on the FCAT today. I know you all can be PROUD of your effort and it WILL pay off. Mrs. P says it will be sooooooo great to get back to our normal schedule tomorrow.

4th Grade... will start to discuss the Response to Literature Standard. I hear Mrs. Peck plans to read you a great book called "The Tower" next week. Then you will be writing a response to that book. We will also spend some time reading Humphrey.... where will he visit next? Rumor has it that Mrs. Peck did some baking tonight.... Hmmmm... Do I smell cookies?????

5th Grade... your Ape videos are awesome!!!! I didn't realize we had so many fantastic "newcasters" in the class. I'm jealous of Paddy being an Ape Video star. Can I be in a video??? Will we start reading "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas"?????? Be sure to come tomorrow and see. I also heard that Patty O'Pickle did some baking tonight and made another late night visit to Rm 71. Wonder what you will find on Paddy's shelf tomorrow......

4th Grade News...

Well, this was the final week before the FCAT. We worked very hard finishing up our Blast Off book. Then on Thursday and Friday we took the 2005 Released FCAT Test. Everyone really put out their best effort. We will go over the test on Monday and then celebrate being ready for the Test on Tuesday. We will take the Reading portion on Tuesday and Wednesday... then the entire Math portion on Thursday. Be sure to get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast each day...

See you Monday....
