Our 3rd Day at the Grand Canyon...
Our third day we explored the eastern side of the South Rim. I considered this side more vast and colorful. I also took some pictures of a few samples of the rocks that formed the Grand Canyon. It's easy to see why it is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World! I posted a video of just a small part of the canyon... photos just don't give you a feel for the vastness of it's beauty!

Love the formations... |
Rain over the North Rim (14 miles away)... never made it over the canyon to the South Rim...
A Raven flying over the canyon... also saw a Condor.. they are endangered... |
Some of the plants... Native Americans were innovative and knew how to live off the land... |
Can you believe how old these rocks are... |
Just a small part of the Grand Canyon... it is 14 miles wide and 1 mile deep... Most of the lodges are on the South Rim. A good part of the North Rim is a Native American reservation. There is a lot of Native American influence in the area.
Mr. P and I had a wonderful vacation. Will post some pictures of New Mexico and El Paso soon...
