We're Ready... Bring on the FCAT Writing Test!

Today we reviewed all that we have been taught in writing since the beginning of the year. We have been practicing for several weeks... and we ARE ready for the writing assessment tomorrow.

We celebrated with some of my "Famous" Chocolate Chip Cookies and a very creative "Cadence" Poem written by Mrs. Jenkins. We went to Mrs. Ledford and Valiette's 1st grade class and performed it for them. They are our "adopted" cheering squad during the FCAT. Check out the neat poster they made for us and they have some "goodies" for us to eat before the test.

Remember.... Get a good night's sleep tonight and eat a good breakfast tomorrow morning..... We can't wait! Bring on the FCAT!

5th graders put on an awesome "Living Wax Museum" today. We were able to take a "tour" and learn about so many interesting people. We actually found 2 students dressed like Juan Ponce de Leon! This ties right in with our current unit on Florida History. Here are some pictures of tonight's museum for parents....

Valentines & Book Swap...

Look what appeared on our bookshelf on Valentine's Day... Djani was the lucky winner of our drawing and took this little Valentine Dog home... rumor has it he gave it to his sister!

After recess we made a special Valentine and decorated a bag to hold ALL the goodies brought in by our classmates! We ARE a family in Room 131...
