Desert Landscape

There was more to see besides just the animals at the Living Desert Zoo. The landscape was very different than Florida... here is some of the desert beauty we saw...







Then on to Carlsbad Caverns...

Mr. Peck and I hiked down 750 feet to the base of the cavern...

Trip to Carlsbad, New Mexico

Mr. P and I decided to do some exploring this weekend. We spent two day in New Mexico. It was awesome! The trip through the Guadalupe Mts. was breathtaking. On Saturday we spent half the day at the Living Desert Zoo and the other half at the Carlsbad Caverns. Here are some pictures from our trip through the mountains and at the zoo. I'll post more pictures later.

Scenic Drive & El Paso Sunset...

The scenic drive around Franklin Mt. gives a beautiful panoramic view of the city...
