Happy Thanksgiving.....

I am soooo thankful for so many things in my life... my family, my students. their parents, and my co-teachers. I feel fortunate to be able to get up every day and come to work with so many awesome teachers and most especially my students. My wish for you is that you have a wonderful and restful holiday with those you care about. Happy Thanksgiving......

Great Day for Student Council...

Today was a big day for Student Council. We showed our spirit with "Hat" Day and we culminated our service project for the Military men and women serving us in Afghanistan. Mrs. Signorile was "blown away" by the number of items, letters, and cards we collected. She was really moved by your generosity. She appreciates it because she has a son serving us in the military. She will see that our items are packaged and shipped to our "adopted unit. You "rock" Beauclerc. Mr. Sofferin and I are lucky to sponsor our awesome Student Council! Here are some of the pictures I took today......

4th Grade News.....

It was another great week in Rm 131. Science was "MAGNETIC"! Mrs. Gaspard began her unit on Magnetic Energy with lots of hand-on experience with magnets. After some "discovering" we discussed our findings about what could be magnetized.

In Reading, we finished our selection test on "By the Shores of Silver Lake". With a short week coming up, we have decided not to start another story, until we return from Thanksgiving break. But... keep up that independent reading and working toward your reading goal.

Today we celebrated being thankful for having each other. Thank you to Devon's mom, P J's mom, and the parents who sent in some food, for making our lunch a success.

Here are some pictures from our busy week....
