New Addition & Rescued Squirrels...

We have a new addition to our extended family...Keegan is my niece's first child. That makes my little sister a grandma...finally! Now she also knows the wonderful experience of being a "Mimi". Baby, Mom and Dad are excited and doing great!

Some "other" babies are in the Peck News... This morning I found two newborn squirrels in the front yard under our Oak tree. They must have fallen out of their nest during the storm yesterday. We carefully laid them in a shoe box and called Wildlife Rescue. They said bring them over and they would nurse them until they could be turned out into the "wild". I've never seen a baby squirrel before....they looked pretty helpless. Well, Mr. P and I did our part to increase the squirrel population.

Hi Everyone.....

Just an update on what's been going on...

It's been kind of quiet here lately. Mr. P's brother and wife were here for a visit on their way to Orlando. Then I've been working out in my yard...my favorite thing to do. This week I have two important birthdays...my best friend's birthday is Thursday and Chase's birthday is Friday. Rumor has it that a "Hartless" Hero has a birthday coming up soon, too!

I will post some pictures of Chase's birthday this weekend.

Hope you are having a great summer. Won't be long and we'll be back in school.

Love you....Mrs. P

Peck Family Update.....

Here are some more pictures Ed and Kelly have sent us from Alaska. Chase's dad said that Alaska has some of the most breath-taking scenery he has ever experienced. Looks like Squirt and Morris have become seasoned travelers... I'm jealous... Mr. Peck and I hope to be able to make this trip some day.

Meanwhile.....back in Jacksonville..... we made a trip to MOSH. Even though I just went with the 4th graders back in May... I managed to discover many things I missed. The Science Show was awesome. Chase really liked the dinosaurs and the Science Show. Of course we had to make a trip to the gift shop.

It won't be too much longer and you 5th Graders will be headed to Middle School... and I'll be back at Beauclerc with you 4th Graders. Enjoy the rest of your summer....

Love you, Mrs. P

The Continuing Adventures of Squirt & Morris.....

Looks like Squirt and Morris have bonded and have become great friends. They are having the time of their life and enjoying the beautiful Alaskan scenery. Wish I was there..... but we are having a wonderful time with Chase. Yesterday we went to our friends' house for swimming and a cook-out. Today after church, he made a "tent" in his bedroom.... I don't think I would call it roughing it!!!! Tomorrow we are headed to Toys-R-Us and later this week we plan to go to a movie and MOSH. We are keeping busy, too......
