I decided to post on Wednesday this week.... I will not be here on Friday and Monday. My family and I are going south for my Dad's Memorial. It will be great for all the family to gather together in his memory. I will miss you...
4th Grade News.....
This week we published our Response to Literature on "Up the Learning Tree". I will be reading and grading them this weekend. The latter part of this week we are starting our second Response to "Mr. Peabody's Apples". This book also has an important lesson.
My Book Club is just about finished with "The In-Between Days". We will review on Friday and then take the A/R test. Stay tuned to find out what our next novel will be.
In Math, Mrs. Ryan and Mrs. Ross have started a unit on Data Analysis. The Ry/Ro's have worked on a Guizmo on Means and Medians. It really makes you think outside of the box.

My Book Club is almost finished with our novel.
5th Grade News.....
It took me about 1 day to feel back at home in Rm 71. We are 2/3 of the way finished with our novel. This has been a very interesting novel for vocabulary. It was first published in the early 1960's, and the generation gap is evident. It's been interesting to see how the Apes and Heroes "Infer" and use context clues to figure out the meaning of words that aren't really used in today's time. Of course, Mrs. P can remember!!!!!
